Steve Haywood is a qualified personal trainer based in Wetherby, Yorkshire, who serves clients based around Yorkshire in towns and cities such as Harrogate, Leeds and Bradford including outlying and surrounding areas.
A keen walker and runner, Steve Haywood takes guided runs and walks around the Yorkshire Dales, LakeDistrict and more.
Steve is a member of the Register of Exercise Professional (number R0035374) and has a Premier Diploma in personal training which includes:
- Advanced Instructor Course
- Fitness Trainer Award
- Nutrition for Health and Fitness
- Foundation Certificate in Fitness Instruction
- Certificate in Basic Emergency First Aid
- Certificate in Sports Massage
Steve is also an experienced and knowledgeable runner. He has competed in cross-country, track and road races since age 11, covering distances from 800m to marathon with Wakefield Harriers, Leeds City and Otley Athletic Club.
In the last 20 years he has helped to organise regular walking trips in the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and Picos De Europa in Spain. Through these walks and his time with Bradford Potholing Club, Steve has built up an extensive knowledge of walking and running routes in Northern England.
Steve worked at Bannatyne’s Gym in Barnsley (formerly Living Well) before setting up his own personal training business. He has also worked at Cannon’s Health Club in Harrogate and as a local co-ordinator for Run in England and the Women’s Running Network.
Steve now divides his time between taking organised walks, seeing private clients, working in an NHS rehabilitation gym and on the sales team at Up & Running in Leeds.
