Goal Setting

To help any of us to begin and continue exercising it is really important to have goals or targets.

This enables us to keep motivated as we can have the goal in our heads as we progress with training. So what are these goals? A good example to begin with may be to make time for exercising in your daily and weekly routines. Often it can be the time for exercising that suffers in busy lives . I see this happening a lot in my experience as a trainer and it is a pity because the benefits of exercise, both physically and mentally, produce a more lively and vibrant individual.

See exercising as part of your life, not something that is a chore and carried out under duress.

Now you are exercising regularly it is time for your next goal. Think about getting in good shape for your holidays, entering the Race for Life, walking the hills or peaks you have always fancied, just to mention a few. You can also have small goals that take you towards your bigger goal, but the important thing is that they have to be realistic or else you can become discouraged and then totally demotivated.

When you need help or guidance with this you can seek the assistance of a fully qualified Personal Trainer, this is what we are trained to do. If you feel you need expert advice e mail me on Steve@Steve-Haywood.com
