Gym Free Workout Guides
Great News for Gym Haters!
The Gym Free Workout Guides are totally free and use minimal equipment. All you do is click through the pages shown below and follow the exercises.
These guides were originally in pdf format and we’re currently in the process of making them compatible with this website. The first three workouts are already available :
Equipment Free Workout
This Equipment Free Workout does what it says on the front cover – provides you with workouts you can do without any equipment at all, that will keep you in good health. Click here to get started – see the table of contents here.
TV & Beans Workout
Here is a workout you can do sitting in front of the telly (albeit sitting on an inflatible excercise ball) and with tins of beans for makeshift weights. No longer does watching your favourite shows need to leave you feeling like a Couch Potato! Click here to get started and see the table of contents.
Lounge About Workout
Another series of excercises and workouts you can do from the comfort of your own home (which presumably isn’t full of mirrors and rippling six-packs like many gyms can be) with very little equipment and minimal cost. Click here to get started.
Walking, Jogging, Running
I’m a huge fan of running, and have run competitively for more years than I’d like to remember. However, the old saying that “you can’t run before you can walk” is very true of people looking to get into (or back into) running as a hobby and regular exercise routine. This short guide explains how you can go about progressing from short walks, to gentle jogging, right up to fast running and interval training – where you actually have a PB (Personal Best) and can improve upon it. Its never to late to take up a little running, but in order to stick at it, you need to plan a manageable, bitesize routine that you will stick to. Get started here.
I’ve really enjoyed writing these guides, and hope that you find them useful for getting on the road to a more active, healthier and ultimately happier lifestyle. Please do leave comments and suggestions for improvement – such as what you find difficult to understand or do – and I’ll try my very best to make those improvements!
Remember, fitness should be fun – if you don’t enjoy doing it, its unlikely you’ll stick the course over the medium to longer term, so first and foremost, find something you enjoy.
