Leg Lifts and Cushion Squeeze
Leg Lifts
This movement requires a bit more control. Tighten your tummy muscles, and keep your back straight. Slowly lift your right leg upwards until it horizontal and in line with your hips. Try to keep it straight. After one or two seconds, slowly lower it back to the start position and do the same on the left leg. Once you are happy with the movement, repeat it five times with each leg. Alternate between left and right.
Variations
Try to hold the leg in the air for up to five seconds.
Cushion Squeeze
This exercise requires the use of a cushion or similar. Sitting on the ball place the cushion between your knees and squeeze, gently at first, and repeat 10 times. After a while increase the pressure but make sure you maintain your straight back. This will stregthen the inside of your thighs and your pelvic region.
