Healthy Recipes - Berry and Yoghurt Smoothies

Berry SmoothiesSmoothies are great before early morning runs - they get energy and fluids into your body quickly without causing indigestion or stitches on the run itself. These are also great refreshers after summer training because of the ice. Smoothies are a great source of antioxidants, fibre and vitamins.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Ingredients
  • 8 Ice Cubes
  • 1 Small Banana
  • 200g (7oz) Frozen Raspberries defrosted
  • 200g (7oz) Greek Yoghurt
  • 300ml (½ pt) Semi Skimmed milk
  • Mint Sprigs to Garnish
Method
  1. Crush the ice in a blender till it turns slushy
  2. Tip the remainder of the ingredients, except for the mint, into the blender and whizz until frothy.
  3. Pour the mixture evenly into glasses and top with mint sprigs.

You can swap the fruit to include your favourites.
