Testimonials
Pat
Pat has been a full-time wheelchair user all her life. She recently stopped using a manual chair in order to use a new electrical drivers seat wheelchair – she now needs to put a plan in place to keep fit and retain her ability to get into and out of her chair. Most importantly, she wants to retain her independence.
Pat has been water-skiing with the British Disabled Water Ski Association though she says she is “not an extreme sports kind of person”.
Steve has shown her balance and stability exercises to help with any more water-ski outings. Pat also has regular personal training sessions with Steve to improve her strength and suppleness for her day-to-day life.
“I am not a person who has done a lot of exercise in my life. Finding that I was not going to be moving as much as previously in my daily life, I was very pleased with the support and understanding I received from Steve. He was able to develop a personal exercise plan, which adapted as we progressed so that now I am no longer as nervous about exercising and can see how movement will fit into my future action plans. Thanks Steve.”

“If you are of mature years and feel intimidated by a gym or need assistance with your goal, Steve Haywood is one of those persons able to assist. As a personal trainer he understands the needs of the mature person. One feels able to interact with him, tell him what you require and a tailor made programme can be put together for you. At the end of session or period of sessions you feel better, with more energy.
He will push you but knows how far to go. At the end of a session you know you have worked out but are all the better for it.
I would heartily recommend personal training with Steven especially if you need that push or feel that a gym is not for you.”

“I am a member of a running club and found recently that no matter how hard I train my performance didn’t seem to improve. I contacted Steve Haywood to utilise his expertise as a personal trainer. After 5 sessions, Steves help has proved invaluable in highlighting areas for development. One of the benefits of this course of personal training is that I have added track work to my schedule, which has refreshed my enthusiasm for training. I have already achieved a 5 mile personal best time and look forward to achieving further PBs. Many thanks Steve.“
